Professional Background

Jack is a fully HCPC registered Clinical Psychologist and specialises in neuropsychology. He began his clinical psychology career reading for Natural Sciences at the University of Durham, majoring in Psychology. Jack then undertook post-graduate training at Birmingham City University, completing the Low Intensity Psychological Interventions Training (LIPI). Most recently Jack successfully completed his Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at Cardiff University. Jack has also undertaken additional therapy qualifications including; level 1 training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Narrative Family Therapy.


Jack prefers to use an integrative approach when working therapeutically, combining Systemic, Person-Centred, ACT, Narrative and CBT. By working in this way Jack ensures that he is able to tailor his approach to respond flexibly to client needs. Jack has experience of working in this way within a variety of service contexts including acute neurosurgical wards, inpatient neurorehabilitation, mental health rehabilitation and recovery, community traumatic and acquired brain injury services and epilepsy surgery. Jack also has experience of working with clients diagnosed with NEADS.


Jack is particularly interested in working therapeutically with individuals and their families/staff systems with the aim of promoting psychological wellbeing, adjustment and recovery following brain injury.
